Hunting and fishing is my life, if I’m not planning an offshore fishing trip I’m planning my next big game hunting adventure. When I was informed about this hunt that Airgun Hunting Legion was putting on in texas, I was super excited! I love Texas and all the exotic game they have to hunt and to have to opportunity to go on a big boar Airgun hunt was way too cool to pass up.After doing some shooting and getting familiar with my new weapon (Umarex Hammer) I couldn’t wait to get in the field and test it out on a trophy animal.Not long into my hunt, I was presented with an opportunity to harvest a huge Addax. As the animal came into range, I readied myself for a shot and was able to drop him in his tracks! Once I made my way up the addax and realized how big it was I couldn’t believe how well this 50 caliber air rifle performed on taking him down.My guide informed me that he thought it would be a new world record and I was beyond excited. I have been on hundreds of amazing hunts and harvested tons of really trophy animals in my hunting career but this is the first that was going to land on the top of the record book.I can’t thank everyone enough that was involved with making this hunt come together so perfectly. I can’t wait to bring my new gun all over the country and try to get a few more world records taken with it!
