Even Backstraps Are Bigger in Texas
On this episode of Safari Hunter’s Journal, host Steve Scott travels to the Hi C ranch in Texas for a mixed bag big game hunt with the Umarex Hammer 50 caliber air rifle. With three bucks on license, Steve sets his sights on an older free-range whitetail that has reached his genetic potential. Then, Steve goes in pursuit of the large and tasty nilgai antelope from India. Ranch owner Clint Tuma suggests a most unusual ambush point, and the plan almost works, but in the end the herd departs. But hunting is a funny thing. Sometimes missing an opportunity is a blessing in disguise as what happens next is an extreme test for an air rifle on a 500lb antelope. It’s a fast-paced episode you won’t want to miss!
